Price simulation feature allows users to simulate pricing and to see how the price changes when costing relevant attributes of a quote and/or sales items change. Costing relevant attributes could be business data/relation attributes that are marked with <costingRelevant> true in schema or dynamic attributes that are marked as costing relevant.
Launch price simulation
Price simulation can be launched either from button 1 or 2 as marked in the screen capture below
Execute price simulation
Use “Add run” button to add runs. Runs are individual simulations. This feature supports a maximum of three runs at a time, i.e. user can have a maximum of three separate values for the costing relevant attributes and he/she can run a maximum of three separate simulations to see how price changes.
Once the costing relevant attribute values are entered in each run, pricing simulation can be executed by clicking on “Execute Simulation” button.
Price simulation results
Price of each sales item and the quote are shown in the results page. Please refer to the legend to identify prices for base and each run. Base refers to the current quote.
At sales item level, user can further go into the pricing item levels (click 1).
In the price simulation result page, user can download each run as separate excel files (button 2). User can also apply a run to the base quote (button 3), i.e. all the changes in that run will be applied to the quote and price is calculated accordingly.
