Firstly, user can check it is UI error or backend server error by analyzing the following things.
When user sees this pop up in MX, it is saying that UI error happens.
To deep drive into that issue, open “Development Tools” or simply press “F12” if the user is using “Chrome”. The following screen shot is showing how to open development tool in chrome browser.
Below picture is the sample of console log for UI errors.
Backend Server Error
If user sees the following notification “An unexpected error occurred”, it is the error happening on the backend server.
To check server error, open cloud cockpit, go to respective system and download server log.
Find the latest exception in the server log.
- ERROR level is the default log.
- TRACE level is the MOST detailed log.
- DEBUG level is less detailed as TRACE.
In order to change log level in SAP cloud platform cockpit, the class must be executed at least once. Otherwise, it will not show in logger list.
