Sales activities need to be carried out by a specific due date and can be represented by a task. A task typically does not involve a customer engagement (compared with appointments or phone calls) but can be still be linked to an account, a contact, as well as an opportunity or a quote. Associated tasks can also be seen under the respective object via tab ‘Activities’.
The user creating a task is maintained as the task’s owner, priority is defaulted to ‘Medium’ and the status is set to ‘New’. All fields including their values can be localized.
The status for activities of type ‘Task’ can be configured under ‘Administration’ -> ‘Master Data Management’ -> ‘Activity Status’:
*NOTE: ‘Activity Status’ is for status configuration of Tasks only. Currently, the status cannot be changed; a future release will cater to the same.
