Introduction
Partner Management allows to capture e.g. channel or distribution partners that are involved in a sales transaction (such as an opportunity or a quote), and can also be linked to the respective account. In the Digital Sales Platform, the following use cases are supported:
- Maintaining a partner account with related contact persons, and respective addresses and contact information.
- Relating a partner account to a customer account.
- Referencing a partner account in a sales transaction.
For configuring respective partner functions, refer to 'Partner Function & Partner Function Type' for additional information.
Maintaining a Partner Account
A loyal group of partners can increase your channel sales. To create this loyal group of partners it is important to extend the same CRM/CPQ ease of use and trust to your indirect channel like it is done for Internal Sales teams.
Partner contact users can be assigned to a specific organization unit, and their business role can be set up to only share accounts and related contacts, quotes, opportunities, activities with others in that Organization Unit.
The partner channel managers can be granted visibility into records created or owned by partner contact.
Partner contacts can collaborate on high-value opportunities or quote with the internal sales team by adding them to the partner function thereby sharing specific opportunities and quotes where they need help.
