The display of attributes and its labels can be customised through the Commerce Administration. (See "Commerce Administration: Screen Configuration Maintenance" for more information)
Users can click on the product image for a larger view. To ensure images are displayed in the right formats and sizes, optimised for a pleasant end-user experience, see "Recommended Image Sizes" for more information.
Compare Variants
Material variants are often created and used for popular and fast-moving combinations of characteristic attributes, enabling businesses to make a stock strategy. Sales representatives can ensure their customers are presented with the closest options to choose between. Simplifying the process of selecting the right variant of a product, users can be more confident that they have made the best purchase after perusing the product catalogue and all relevant options.
Setup of the product details is done in the Digital Sales Platform, where similar variants are linked to the same Configurable Material (KMAT) and preferably belong to the same main category. (See "Assistive Selling - Material Variant Finder" for more information)
Clicking 'Compare Variants' would bring up a list of comparable products. Users have the option to view the available products for comparison in grid or list view by toggling the display button:
Up to 5 products can be selected for comparison at one time. Once the desired products have been selected, click on the 'Compare' button to navigate to the comparison page.
On the comparison page, the product details are displayed side-by-side for easy evaluation of the differences in the technical specifications. Users can take action accordingly, to immediately place an order, or personalise the variant and make an inquiry.
Related Products
Related products are shown in the ‘You May Also Like’ section at the bottom of the product detail page and variant comparison screen, suggesting relevant or recommended products based on the product that users are currently viewing.
This can be useful in engaging customers to make additional purchases and can be configured to spike users' interest whilst they are browsing products.
